The wind spreads a thick layer of yellow dust
Across my once-spotless sports car. I can’t
See it in the air nor smell it, and yet
My nose seems to be uniquely aware
Of its presence. I sniffle, then giggle;
The unmistakable joy of springtime
Is blossoming in my soul, and sneezes
Are but the bumbling buzz of fertility.
