One behind the other,
Each man follows
A solitary path,
Unwilling to admit
That any other traveler
Walks the same road or
Seeks the same ends.
Many go astray.
Yet the shortest distance
Between two points
Remains a straight line.
Is it so strange
That lines should live?
Perhaps the way home
Lies in admitting
A leader exists.
